Witham Group wins top innovation award at LAMMA
We are delighted and honoured to have won two trophies at the LAMMA Innovation Awards last week. Not only did we win the environmental innovation award for our new Prolan protective lubricant range, but we also went on to be crowned the overall LAMMA Innovation winner!

The annual LAMMA Innovation Awards recognise innovative new ideas, products, techniques or services in the agricultural industry. There were more than 70 entries this year, split over five categories (crop production, livestock, technological, environmental, and farm machinery).
Prolan is an environmentally friendly protective lubricant that provides long-lasting protection of metal, wood, rubber and electrical components from rust and corrosion. LAMMA Judges said ‘the product had multi-industry worldwide application potential for protecting against rust, corrosion and galvanitic attack. Developed from an agricultural waste, it had been researched and formulated so could be applied in a number of ways to protect a very wide range of equipment.’
Agriculture is hard on machinery and constant protection is required from exposure to fertiliser, manure, pesticides and weather. Prolan acts as a moisture barrier to stop rust and keep farm equipment and classic vehicles from seizing up and breaking down. It has been proven to extend the life of equipment and enhance resale value.

Prolan is available in a heavyweight grease or liquid formula which can be sprayed onto machinery and chassis underbodies. It won’t wash off with a cold-water jet wash – it needs steam or a degreaser to remove, so its long-lasting credentials make it a must-have treatment for those looking to prevent corrosion.

Godlingston Manor Farm in Dorset has been using Prolan to lubricate machinery with great results: ‘We have been very impressed with Prolan and intend to apply it to more machinery to extend its useable life.
