As the country works out its plan for our exit of Europe, Witham Group continues to look to maintain strong relationships to the single market for our company post Brexit.
Key to you, the customer and the whole industry is freedom of choice to use which ever product you’d like to and to keep labelling clear, honest so you can continue to get ‘what it says in the tin’.  This may seem a ‘given’ but through the great work of the European Competition and Technical Committees which work on behalf of the UK and European Lubricant Industries, we have over the years ensured this free choice remains and standards are kept high.
The most common comment when speaking to some customers about Lubricants is that they have been told by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) that ‘they must use their oil or it will invalidate their warranty’.   This attempted restrictive practice of some manufacturers on warranty, if only their product is used, is completely unfounded and Witham Group, through its quality assured products, ensures the right of customers to use the lubricant of their choice remains.

We understand the competitive market that some manufacturers have to work in and the constraints made to their dealers to sell OEM branded products, but for some operators to categorically tell customers that they cannot use the lubricant of their choice is unfair and in many cases illegal.
With lubricant specifications becoming more and more specific and very often confusing with application sometimes a case of guesswork, Witham Group have established a professional approach to lubricant purchase, by continuing to offer the latest products and services direct to customers. We also ensure that all the required specifications are met before recommendations are made to ensure peace of mind without any compromise.
OEM’s often offer their ‘own oils’ and with careful recommendations these applications can be achieved using reputable quality independent Lubricants which are manufactured to the highest standards.
The professional approach is to carry out a Lubrication Survey of all your equipment and to ascertain manufacturer warranty specifications which intern will ensure correct application of product to machine and can then be rationalised to limit the number of grades stocked.
